I tried to introduce my kids to cricket last month. The Little Man wanted to belt the ball to the moon. But above is what The Little Lady would do with a set of Cricket Stumps. Click to see the picture bigger.
Anyone relate?

Some might say that watching the flowers grow would provide the same experience as watching a game of cricket. Perhaps your Little Lady followed that line of logic. ;)
I hope it was a great planning day. There have been more than a few overs bowled in that backyard... its a long way around to the park to once my 3 year old son turned 4 and started hitting the ball better....
Not quite the same, but our little girl regularly engages her brother in swordplay dressed as a fairy princess replete with wings, flowers and a girly dress ...
Girls can play cricket! I loved the game. And I like frangipani.

if you ask me the little lady has the right idea!
Looks vaguely like an offering to the Hindi cricket gods ...
I think that the switch from baseball to cricket is going to radically shape your kids!
Both are very strategic games that require patience, but baseball is essentially one where a high level of failure and risk is okay, whereas success in cricket can be found in a draw -- unthinkable in baseball terms.
So Little Man will be swinging for the fences less, and defending his wicket more -- probably good for his soul...
With affection in the shadow of Yankee stadium,

Gorgeous. Must get our kiddies together in December.

totally relate. My little man and I spend a good 20 minutes every day practising his cover drive.
He's 3 but we need to win back the Ashes at some point!
