"Look at me, I'm rambling' again"

OK.

Justin here.

Testing out the world of blogs.

The pic is of the patron saint of Blogs.
And his immortal words are the reason for his patronage...

"I guess that's the way the whole durned human comedy keeps perpetuatin' it-self, down through the generations, westward the wagons, across the sands a time until-- aw, look at me, I'm ramblin' again. Wel, uh hope you folks enjoyed yourselves."
-- The Stranger.

Well, this is deep so far...
Could you put some of your sermons up? Or at least edited highlights?

That would be way cool.

Hey here's a discussion to have:
what do you think the woman anointing Jesus with perfume is all about?

Em here.
I concur on the putting sermons on the blog.
I know I would like that.
Also, funny stories from Laurel maybe?
She makes me laugh....
I miss youse all...

Dude!
Good to hear / see you in the non real sense. Now's not the time for lots of catch up I guess, suffice to say it's good to 'see' you

Some times it's strikes, sometimes gutter balls . . .

Payne really has something against blogs looking like mine!

"Way out west there was this fella I wanna tell ya about. Goes by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At least that was the handle his loving parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. See, this Lebowski, he called himself "The Dude". Now, "Dude" - there's a name no man would self-apply where I come from..."

OK.

Jimmy, Lunch, The Tubeman, the Man-Bear, Jensen, Jodi, Em and the Chels.

I got me a Crowd.

I might have to actually Blog then.

But bear in mind: " Walter, this is not a guy who built the rail- roads, here."

Will put something up tonight.

“Way to go, Dude. If you will it, it is no dream. Theodore Herzel, State of Israel.”

Lachlan Payne said...

Jimmy: I just like blogs to be unique.

Justin: 1 post, 10+ comments. You're a hit. And my new post dedicated to you is also a hit - of sorts. Clearly, the general populace considers your words of far higher value than mine! Understandable ...

All: Who the heck is this 'dude'?!? (Maybe Jimmy will explain it to me tonight)

Justin said...

Lunch -- Did Jimmy explain to you "the Dude"?

Justin said...

OK. Its all working then.

But -- Lunch --- how do I know put that picture by my Blog? I have it next to my profile, but not the Blog. Can't figure that out?

Lachlan Payne said...

Hmmm ... I'm not sure. For me it was just always there.

Maybe it has something to do with deleting the post with the pic?

Or maybe someone else can ease our confusion and figure out where the secret setting lies?

Lachlan Payne said...

It MAY have something to do with the fact that there are two contributors ... ? Maybe if there was just one then the pic would display.

Woops. Late for church. Good luck!

Justin said...

If anyone knows how to get the pic up on the actual Blog, and not just on the Profile, then keen for enlightenment.

PS Lunch -- can't be deleting the first pic. Cos its still here [witness the pic to your right here], and it wasn't there even when I had the pic.

Go to Church.

630 is late for Church...

Lachlan Payne said...

Yup. Ok. Still, I stand by my original synopsis. Because you have two contributors - Justin and Strolleur - it won't display a picture. It will only display your profile picture on the blog (as well as on your profile) if there is one contributor only.

So the solution is ... say bye bye to Strolleur. Sad but true.

P.S. Who is Strolleur?

Lachlan Payne said...

P.P.S. Assuming that Le Strolleur is your lovely wife, please forgive my insensitive approach to the problem.

P.P.P.S. Still confused about 'The Dude'?

Jim said...

Have you guys heard of e-mail? It might be a faster way to solve Justin's picture problems (to which I dont have an answer).

As for "The dude". The most I can say is he is one of the greatest cinematic characters in the past 50 years. Right up there with, Darth Vader, Indiana Jones and Shrek. Still confused?

Lachlan Payne said...

Still confused.

And the picture problem is solved as far as I am concerned.

P.S. Blow up Clifton.

P.P.S. I have your quilt and pillow Jimmy and they are stinking out my car!

Lunch doesn't know who the Stranger is?
“That had not occurred to us, Dude”

See:

"I'm saying, she needs money, and of course they're gonna say they didn't get it 'cause she wants more, man, she's gotta feed the monkey, I mean--hasn't that ever occurred to you...? Sir?

No. No Mr. Lebowski, that had not occurred to me.

BRANDT: That had not occurred to us, Dude."

Jim said...

Lunch - The 'quilt' (better known as a doonah) is mine, and will collect on Sunday :) The pillow is not mine however. Trust me, I would know if I am not sleeping on a pillow.
