The biggest dump of snow in NYC in a century

Two weeks ago, New York had their biggest dump of snow in a century. It would have been fun, 'cept it all happened on a Sunday morning in which I preached.

The Story...

My wife + 2 kids under 2 now live on Manhattan - just moved two months ago from Sydney. We live near our church [ http://www.christchurchnyc.com/ ]. And it took us 30 minutes to get there that Sunday! 20 of those minutes were in a cab stuck in the snow. [The Avenue looked like an Alaskan town Main St]. Of course, we have no idea about how to handle the snow… so we brought a stroller with us. Apparently, that’s obviously wrong, as we found out at Church.

I want to know if there’s a site: how-to-get-by-with-kids-in-blizzards.com.

Hmmm.

Anyway, we had a great time in Church that week. Lots of snow covered people; the text of my sermon was - God’s plan for the Church from Ephesians 3:1-14; and the first hymn, by the grace of God, was “Our God our Help in Ages Past”. The first verse: “Our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home."

Tidy.

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

And a chance for me to practise posting on a Blog.

Love, Justin.

I'm sure that massive dumps of snow become a pain in the bum pretty quickly, but after seeing the photos i just have one question . . . Do you guys need a youth minister?
