Does a Train Track get any better?

Oh. The Joy of it. Again.

Compare with last month's effort:

  • Anyone appreciating out there?
  • All criticisms and observations made in love received.
Care to comment, Tubman? Reuben? Rodeoclown? Anthony? Kieth? Seapea? Jane? Jason? Samr? Mandy? rd? Eric? Moffitt the Prophet? Dre? Sam? And anyone else who commented on my previous post.

Must.go.to.meeting with Martin.

you are completely the man!

I made a track last night for my kids, and it was okay, but the bad bit is that when the train got into a circuit, they were unable to get back out of that circle, and just went round and round.

So, I SALUTE YOU!

Yes, this is clearly a superior effort. Far more natural curves, as if it had grown there. Lovely.

A great work of art and civil engineering in miniature! A suggestion to consider is the joy that The Boy might have were you to put some of the curved track around a leg table or underneath a sofa. Something exciting about making the train go around a substantial obstacle.

Pleasure to be of service, Ms Rees.

but the bad bit is that when the train got into a circuit, they were unable to get back out of that circle, and just went round and round.

That, my friend, is the task. Make sure that don't happen! :)

There is more curves. The Boy turned 4 last month, and got some new track. And Tidmouth Sheds.

Something exciting about making the train go around a substantial obstacle.

Mr Swartz, I could not agree more. It shall be done at 6:45AM tomorrow.

:)

yes, 2.0 better than 1.0

the sheds complete it

i take off my hat to you.

You shall now be known as the (not so ) Fat Controller.

Wow - I love it - I particularly like the sheds!! It looks more complicated and my eye just wants to follow all the tracks!! Well done you!

Justin, you are Da Man.

The tracks just get better - when will it end? This ability is one of the Fruit Of The Spirit. Maybe.

When I grow up, I want to make train tracks like this :)

Love your work.

Yes. You get it.

I wish my son took it as seriously as you and me, Jason.

Seriously.

Oh that's good...

I've dabbled in the art form myself but I can't say I've even come close to the fusion of organic form and efficient function that you have achieved in this one.

Nice idea, too, to use the blog to share with us (and with posterity) what would otherwise have been such a private and ephemeral thing of beauty.

I really like your rug/carpet!! But the train track obscuring pieces of it is pretty cool too ...

N - ice. Options are the key, and you've got em in spades, baby.

That's pretty hot - although I notice that some of the trains are coming off or have already crashed.
