I know that this is a cheap shot, but I read this quote in a Marie Clare article called '40 Things You Don't Know About Jessica Simpson'. Maybe she means that every time a new print edition of DVC came out, she recorded and watched the 'doco' in the hope of learning further groundbreaking details. I'm sure there were that many different editions.
