You must have mirth or you will have madness.

Hi all.

Two video links that are worth a look at…

[Of course, I got them sent to me three weeks ago, so no doubt they have landed in your inbox a while ago!]

For anyone serious about their Calvinism...

And also for German speakers [Is Tori Robson out there in Cyberspace?]...
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6077326441742307086

I shall be speaking this Sunday on Mark 2:1-12 . So I shall put up something more serious next week. Maybe a section of the sermon to debate.

But in the meantime, as G.K. Chesterton once said:

"Life is serious all the time, but living cannot be. You may have all the solemnity you wish in your neckties, but in anything important (such as sex, death, and religion), you must have mirth or you will have madness. "

Couldn't agree more.

ahhh yes that great man Chesterton, who also observed that

"The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese"

I think there is a challenge there! the person who writes the best poem on cheese can have a whole camembert all for themselves. any takers?

No Payne. I am a bottomless pit of quotes on any subject.

"To quote is to be knowledgable" James Clifton Circa 2006

OK.

Then give me a meaningful quote on armpit hair.

P.S. I can't believe my deleted comment still gets included in the comment count.

I only took out a few dots ...

P.P.S. Justin -- what is it like to be so revered by so many that you can't even tell which Cass or which Carly is commenting on your blog?

Luck there's only one Lunch.

That should say lucky. Not luck. Lucky there's only one Lunch. Which may already be too many for some.

Ok. I'm done. For now.

Sharon says: "The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese" And challenges us to wrote a poem.

And Lunch wants a meaningful quote on armpit hair.

Sharon is all class, Lunch. And one day you will understand.

That having been said, there is def only one Lunch.

Thank you Justin.
Please email Justin and i (sharoncunningham@hotmail.com) all cheese based poems and we shall select the one that we feel communicates the most about cheese. The quality of the poem will be used to determine the quality of the winning camembert - who knows, I may even zip over to France to select it!

I had a blog once but it died when I forgot the password and couldn't update anything.
True story.

I also used the same colour scheme as Justin, it was very nice.

Hello Justin,
the video on the german coast guard-guy is in fact a good one. Even if it hurts to admit that.

Anyway... take care!
Harti.
