(This is the fourth post in a Sermon on John 14:15-31. Do me a favor and read the passage first and maybe the introductory posts.)I have only two things to explore today John 14. Because I think that there are two strands running through this text.; this very complex and theologically rich text.
There is a responsibility. And a promise. And we’ll be adding some more (very important things) next week when we look at John 16. I’m going to put it like this:
1. Your responsibility is to: Love the love of God.
2. And his promise is this: He will stand beside you and guide you into all truth.
